Click on the "Life Stages" tool on the, Insurance Information Institute website.

  2. How do I file a claim?

Most of our companies have direct numbers to their claims department. When you first received your policy or in a separate mailing, most compines will advise you of their direct claims number. This makes the process the easiest and quickest. In one simple phone call, the insurance company will get all the information they need from you, or will address what information the assigned adjuster will still need. They will get your statement of loss so they can quickly proceed with the claim. You will receive phone numbers, claim numbers and names all at once. So why have an agent? So they can help you sort out your questions and help explain coverages, assist you when a claim drags on, or assist you when your not sure you are receiving the best settlement. But never hesitate to give Hallam & Associates a call if you feel uncomfortable about if you should file a claim or if it is a catastophic claim and you need help through the process.
